This Brussels reaction comes after French President Emmanuel Macron's statement, which in a conversation with Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vuciq, has stressed the importance of Kosovo's talks and implementation of the agreements reached.
“The EU expects Serbia and Kosovo to quickly meet their commitments to Dialogue, given the direct link between normalisation of relations and prospects for EU membership”, a statement by the European Commission's press office said.
European officials stressed that after the recent meeting of the chief negotiators in June, the EU remains ready to organise the next round of dialogue once the parties signal readiness for meeting, whether technical or political.
The statement notes that the <x0nd Street towards the EU for both sides passes through the facilitated dialogue by the European Union”, adding that implementing agreed agreements is key to their advancement in the European integration process. /rtk
