In the official response, the G7 expresses deep concern over the situation. According to them, this process, quickly implemented, often in the presence of police forces, has created a climate of deep uncertainty for the private sector and has sent negative signals to local and international investors.
According to the Chamber, mostly damaged are women entrepreneurs.
Especially affected by this situation are women's owned businesses, which constitute an important part of the local economy”, said in response.
G7 points out that they face income loss, chain damage to services and production, as well as endangering jobs, <x0); most of them kept by women and possibly closing economic activities”.
The Kosovo Women's Economic Chamber also emphasises that they have accepted complaints from members of cases where even businesses with valid contracts have faced cuts, as well as other cases where subjects who fail to meet the legal criterion to cross the free market have been involved in the process.
According to them, this proves that the <x0-tradition towards the free energy market has been implemented unprepared and without full analysis of implications for the economy”.
In her response, the Economic Chamber of Kosovo Women G7 presents three concrete requirements:
-For ZRE and KEDs to immediately suspend power supply cuts for businesses and ensure a fair, transparent and legally clear process.
-To open a structured and comprehensive dialogue with economic opas and business organizations so that a reasonable transition plan can be drawn up for the free energy market.
-to create protective and facilitating mechanisms for small and medium-sized businesses, with special focus on women-owned companies, to avoid irreparable damage to their economic activity.
G7 risks that <x0 entrepreneurial women play an essential role in the country's economic and social development. Such decisions, taken without sufficient consultation and transition, risk not only the existence of their businesses, but also Kosovo's economic and social stability”.
