The Republic of Kosovo has the right to monitor judicial processes at the Special Court because this court, although located in The Hague and has international staff, is part of Kosovo's justice system and is founded with the Parliament's decision. Monitoring does not mean interference in its independence, but guarantees that judgments are conducted directly and transparently, protecting public interest and the country's dignity. Like any sovereign state, Kosovo has the right to ensure that justice done in its name respects the highest standards and does not distort historical truth. In this post, the president as a factor of popular unity should extend an invitation to international respective organisations to monitor this process, which at the present stage is being associated with serious human rights violations defined with the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, KEDNJ and international criminal law standards.
