U.S. chief prosecutor Pam Bond said her country will double its $25m reward and added that Maduro is directly linked to drug trafficking operations.
Venezuela's Foreign Minister, Yvan Gil, said news of doubling the reward for Maduro's arrest is “patetic” and “political propaganda”.

During Trump's first mandate at the White House, the United States had charged Maduron and other senior Venezuelan officials with a series of violations, including narcotics-terrorism, corruption and drug trafficking.
At the time, the US State Department had claimed that Maduro had been working with the Colombian rebel group, Farc, to take away “harnessing cocaine as a weapon to use “created” United States”
In a video published on the X network on Thursday, Bond accused Maduron of co-ordinating with groups like Train de Aragua éziela band, which the Trump administration has declared terrorist organisation é and Cartelel Sinaloa, Mexico-based powerful criminal network.
U.S. chief prosecutor claimed that the US drug agency, DEA, had “confiscated 30 tonnes of cocaine linked to Maduron and his associates, with nearly seven tonnes connected to Maduron” himself.
Venezuela's president in the past has dismissed the United States' claims that he is directly involved in drug trafficking. /Periscope
