I was persecuted, says the girl had direct ties with Vuciqi, but also with the Kosovo Prime Minister's Office.
The girl had a direct connection with the office of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, but also with the Kosovo Prime Minister's Office. The question is whether in such an operation the agent was convinced, because there is information that she has been working for yet another service of a major NATO member,” said military analyst Ivica Mandic.
As writes “Vecernji List” in Split, Croatia's case is under way in which a Croatian Air Force military pilot is under investigation for spying allegations.
The investigation is under way on suspicion that partners from Serbia have provided confidential information, and the Split District Court is expected to decide whether it will end up in prison.
His arrest for allegedly spying has been confirmed by MORH for the Nova Television news edition. It is said that he conveyed sensitive data to a girl from Mitrovica, and she later transferred them further.
“> these can seriously endanger national security; this is regulated by the law on data secrecy, the highest level is very secret, and this could also cause irreparable damage to national security. What the case we have here, the Croatian security system will determine,” Dr. Sc. Tonji Prodi, former security officer.
According to the first data, it is about a pilot who has been engaged in a mission to Kosovo. Civil and military police are involved in the investigation, everything supervised by DORH, which says details are completely classified.
The pilot and his girlfriend were arrested earlier he was released later, while she was located in a centre for foreigners with the expulsion decision. But after examining their phones, investigators found compromise communication, so they were arrested again.
“Such situations in the world happen over and over again, but it is not meant to end this way because the intelligence profession knows how to manage this situation in some ways,” added Prodan.
Members of the National Security Committee warn that this is a very serious case and stress that the committee meeting will be discussed.
Because in such times, this is really our common goal, for all sides, despite political differences. We all aim for the security of all our citizens and our country, all our missions in the countries where we participate in missions,” said Sandra Bencic.
Igor Peternel ( DOMNO points out: “We have a potential spy in the HRZ, these are very disturbing things, and they show us what situation the armed forces are in, and at what level the security in Croatia is, and this is very controversial. ”
Mysel Jakhriq (SDP) adds: “This case clearly shows that a more responsible and rational approach is needed to the security challenges we are in. We expect the answer if there were any concessions on security checks. ”
“This can happen in any country, especially given the global circumstances and context in which things happen, this is a release of security and I believe it will serve to react to it,” said Dario Hrebak (HSLS).
A sentence of between six months and five years in prison is envisioned for the crime of spying. From the government they say the case is not commented, while the president of the Republic has so far reacted.
All this drama was commented by military analyst Ivica Mandic.
“He was a military pilot in an international peacekeeping operation under way in Kosovo. This could have been information on NATO or European Union forces, EULEX. The second type of information, which could jeopardise the national security of the Republic of Croatia, he neither knew nor could give,” Mandic told Nova Television.
The girl had a direct connection with the office of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, but also with the office of Kosovo Prime Minister. The question is whether in such an operation the agent was convinced, because there is information that she has been working on yet another service of a major NATO member,”, he noted.
“System functions and it shows that it works. There can always be diversions of individuals, but the system works very well and should not be raised in any such problem by looking for mistakes in the system. Rather, the system found and prosecuted it,”, it concluded./Periscopi/
