CNN reporter Christiane Amanpour: Arkan wanted to take me hostage for reporting on Kosovo, Bosnia

The prominent CNN journalist Christiane Ammanpour has shown a serious episode from the period of wars in the former Yugoslavia, when he was nearly held hostage by one of the most notorious war figures, Zelko Raznatovic, known as Arkan.

Ammanpour has confessed that at that time its critical reports of the genocide policies of Serbian forces during the war in Bosnia and warnings of the war in Kosovo had made it the target of the Arkan gang.
