By writing on August 21, 2017, Citaku has shared personal memories with him today, describing him as a friend, associate, and extraordinary man.
It has shown common moments with Rexhepi, from their debates on football, to discussions on politics and everyday life.
In her confession, Citaku also recalled the moment when Rexhepi had encouraged her to accept the visa guide in Brussels, putting it on the front of the Kosovo delegation.
The Bayram was most human. Human with everyone. He despised hierarchy and formalities. Today I would like to be in Pristina. We owe it to each other.

“In memory of my friend, Prime Minister Bajram Rexhepi, written on August 21st 2017.
Many would like me to be in Pristina today. To say hello again to Doc. He was more than a colleague to me. He was a true friend. We were a team.
Not in football, we've been there as fierce opponents: he and Realo, me and Barcelona. Don't ask. There wasn't a match between our two teams not to turn into battle between us. Ronaldo's every goal was associated with an exciting SMS from Bajrami: “City are you Vlora? And in the event of barca's loss, his typical SMSs came in: “Anni de... you even owned 60-40”.
I remember when I organised the reception as European Integrity Minister for Europe Day, May 9, 2011. Bajrami didn't show up. I'm touched. I called it: “Dok, why didn't you come?
By Lord Vlora, are you kidding us? You've been giving us all the time that Europe Day should be a holiday, and now you're having a party?
When I insisted on the law against smoking in public spaces... we had war. When I started drinking again after a few years, he never gave me a word.

When I was in Kosovo in April, I called him on the phone. He shot him in the hospital, doing the job he loved most. It was Friday. He said he'd come to Pristina on weekends and see us for coffee.
We never drink that coffee. Bajrami had a stroke. I went to the hospital without feeling. We didn't say goodbye. Many believed I'd see her again.
Doc, in the last game, Realy disabled us. I'd like them to deliver this news... a lot more.
