Since July 23rd, on seven days of the week, from 8am to midnight, voter service officials have reviewed thousands of applications submitted on the CEC's eletronic platform.
During these 33 days, over 21,000 Kosovo citizens have been registered for voting by mail.
So CEC spokesman Valmir Elez indicated.
For more than a month, on seven days of the week, dozens of voting service officials have reviewed applications for voter registration outside Kosovo, and within a short time have returned answers to any applicants. From July 23rd, when the registration process began, and until August 24th, via electronic platform https://diaspora.kqz-x.org has been accepted 26,480 voter voting applications, of which have been approved 21,291, already down 5,186. According to the CEC, in most cases rejected, applicants have not submitted one of the documents proving their address outside Kosovo. Similarly, according to the CEC, each applicant has been reported on the reasons for refusing to apply and the possibility of re-application, meeting the previous conditions.
According to CEC comparison data, the number of registered voters is much lower than in Kosovo's February 9th 2025 elections, when around 105 thousand were registered. However, compared to the October 12th 2021 local elections, the registration process this year is higher.
The number of Kosovo citizens registered to vote abroad is lower than in Kosovo's February 9th 2025 elections. However, according to the up to date data has exceeded the number of registered voters in the 2021 local elections, which was over 15,500<18x1>, Elez said.
According to the CEC, only Kosovo citizens who will register for voting outside Kosovo will be able to vote through post office in the period, which will begin on 17 September and close on October 11th 2025.
