Until today (Monday, August 4, 0800) via electronic platform https://diaspora.kqz-x.org 1,971 voter registration applications have been accepted by mail, of which 1,402 have been approved, meanwhile, 569 have been rejected. In most of the rejected cases, applicants have not submitted one of the documents proving his address outside Kosovo (the identification document in which the residential address is listed, the confirmation of the address by local authority, rent contract, service receipts, document issued by the bank or security company, a document proving the address of the person in which they are temporarily staying, another residential testimony to specific cases (resurging hotel, boarding, etc). Under the procedure, packaged applications, which lack support documents, will be rejected. The CEC regularly and personally informs the applicants of the reasons for refusing their request and that they will be able to re-apply through the recording platform by attaching the documents needed to meet their application in line with CEC guidelines. From July 23rd to August 29th, all Kosovo citizens living abroad can apply to register as voters abroad for the October 12th local elections. Application is done via electronic platform or via mail by sending application to the CEC mailbox in Kosovo.
