The Directorate for Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption has arrested a person from Suhareka who allegedly organised gambling games and has threatened an individual with the return of a 21,000-euro debt.
According to the complainers, he had lost about 90,000 euros from the game of fate, while the suspect has spent and forced him to pay the debt.
Police have seized a mobile phone for further investigation, while the prosecutor has initiated investigations into organising illegal gambling and obligation. Suspect has been detained in 48 hours.
” The Directorate for Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption, the Regional Unit for Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption, Prizren, has accepted testimony from a Suhareka village, respectively. The complainer claims he is being run and forced by a suspect, as well as by a Suhareka village. Based on the complainer's statement, he claims that three years ago he played gambling games in the amount of about nine thousand euros, while the suspect now asks for about twenty-one thousand euros and has constantly exceeded and forced the complainer to return the debt. The suspect allegedly managed these lucky games via electronic addresses from Switzerland and Kosovo. Police have seized a phone aimed at examining organised games. Regarding the case, the prosecutor has been reported, the suspect has been interviewed in the presence of the defender on official duty, the case has been initiated under suspicion of involvement in criminal acts: organising pyramid schemes and illegal gambling and yetrimimation. By the prosecutor's decision, suspect A.L., (born 1990, Kosovo male) has been detained for 48 hours”. /Periscopi
