Cannabis Plantations in Gjilan: VV candidate for Assembly among those arrested

A broad action by the Kosovo Police in the village of Zegovc of Gjilan has led to the discovery of four cannabis plantations and the arrest of three suspected people.

Nationale reports that one of the detainees, Rinas Zeqiri (Candid of the Vetevendosje Movement (VV) for the Municipal Assembly in Novoberda.

According to signal sources, the three suspects are:

Ardit Sylejmani (about 34-year-old)

Youth Ahmeti (about 27 years of age)

Rinas Zeqiri (about 25-year-old)

At the prosecutor's decision, the detainees have been sent to holding for 48 hours.

According to police, about 500 plants have been cultivated on these plantations, some of which had reached up to 2m high and were at an advanced stage for processing.

During the raid, police have located and seized a long AK-47 gun, a 19-pound cable clip of 7.6239 mm, five phones and a Golf V car.

At the order of the State Attorney, narcotic plants have disappeared at the scene, under the supervision of Regional Forenzice and Fire Units, to avoid the risk of spreading fire.
