Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said this at a joint press conference with German Chancellor Fredrich Merz, writes Ukrinform, records Telegrafi.
Carney said that “Putin continued to set conditions and drag things forward because he was afraid of this” meeting.
According to Canadian Prime Minister Zelensky, he is ready to meet Putin on any neutral territory.
Carney stressed that Zelensky does not expect Putin to go to Kiev, nor does he plan to travel to Moscow for such a meeting.
However, any neutral country would be acceptable, Carney added.
He added that it is essential that Ukraine's allies continue to provide support until such a meeting is held. /Periscope/
