Their brother was killed with 16 shots fired in downtown Bielefeld months later, they allegedly took up arms to avenge the crime author's family.
A few months after the murder of professional boxer Besar Niman, a brother and his sister are on trial. The issue involves an alleged blood feud, broadcasts albinfo.ch.
The trial for alleged blood feuds began on Tuesday (August 5th 2025) at the Billelfeld Land Court.
The prosecution charges a brother and a sister of the deceased with attempted murder. In February of this year, the brother and sister allegedly shot at the defendant's relatives outside the court after a day of proceedings in the trial for their brother's murder, writes dpa.de.
Four people were injured, some in critical condition. Among them were three relatives of a 34-year-old person convicted of secret murder in April of this year.
In a letter addressed to his family from custody, Niman's 41-year-old brother, now the defendant, said he had not intended to kill with his own shots but only to wound. He believes the investigative authorities had not investigated the murder author's family sufficiently. The defendant's father and brother at the trial over Besar Niman's death were allegedly at least promoters or accomplices, broadcast albinfo.ch. The letter was read aloud on the first day of the trial.
The cause for the death of the professional boxer could not be determined on the first day of the process. His 34-year-old brother and sister are citizens of Germany and are born in Kosovo. The Bielefeld Land Court has set the dates of the trial process until October. So far, defendants have been protected in silence./Periscopi/
