Muzliukaj has been appointed to the helm of IKAP today, in a decision approved at the Kosovo government's task meeting.
He will have four-year term as IKAP director, Jhelal Svecla said at the government's office meeting today.
Muzliukaj, along with former Mitrovica municipality Deputy Chairman Faruk Mujka, had been arrested in a Special Prosecutor's Action in 2023.
The special prosecutor had announced on July 14th 2023 that Mujka and Mujka have been arrested under suspicion of committing criminal acts of corruption.
Following news of the arrest, Muzliukaj was relieved of the duty of Agriculture Minister Faton Peci's adviser.
He had been raided with the Constitutional Court's ordinance in Pristina, at the request of the Special Prosecutor.
Hysen Muzliukaj was released to defend himself in freedom on July 15, 2023, a day after being arrested for misusing official office.
Muzliukaj was appointed political adviser to Agriculture Minister Faton Peci in 2023.
Earlier, he had exercised the post of director of Kadastri and Property in the cabinet of Agim Bahtiri, former head of the Mitrovica municipality.
