The Agency for Emergency Management (AME) has indicated that a total of 97 fires have been registered during today.
The report published on Facebook says 26 of them continue to be active, while 71 have been located thanks to the intervention of the Professional Fire and Salvation Units.
The AME points out that during the afternoon a significant increase in the number of fires has been observed.
The most heavily charged situation has been presented in the municipalities Kline, Vushtrri, Podujevo and Mamusa. This increase in firehouses has created major difficulties for reactivating teams on the ground. The situation is currently under control, but remains quite challenging,” said in announcement, forward Periscope.
The agency appeals to all citizens to report to the law enforcement bodies any case of arson, avoid any action that could trigger fire, and report emergency cases in numbers 112, 193 and 192.
At the same time, the Agency expresses gratitude for the dedication and commitment of members of the Professional Units of Fire and Rescue, who are acting consistently on the ground to manage the situation, as well as for the Kosovo Police and the KSF.
