Who was Ram Blace?
Rame Blace (1879) was born in the village of Blace in Suhareka, and remains one of the most prominent names of Albanian history of the early 20th century.
He served as Xhemijet's deputy in the Yugoslav parliament, representing the interests of Albanians in a difficult political period.
Known for his steadfast stances, Blace refused to sign the agreement to displace Albanians in Turkey, proving courage and loyalty to the land and national identity.
His patriotic legacy was also conveyed to his son, Qazim Blace, who later served as minister in the government of Prime Minister Ibrahim Mitrovica.
Rame Blace will remain a forgotten figure of our history, a symbol of determination not to compromise at the expense of the nation.
