Former head of the Albanian National Council in the Presevo Valley, Navzad Lutfiu, has raised the alarm for a disturbing situation in majority Albanian municipalities in Serbia.
He has made it known that during the January-July 2025 period, 200 addresses in Presevo and Bujanoc have been opened, calling this a form of “pure ethnic cleansing”.
With the question, How many addresses have been repeated in these two municipalities, from January to July 2025?”, writes Lutfiu in a post.
He has received a written answer stating that 174 addresses in Presevo and 26 in Bujanoc have been opened.
Lutfiu voiced doubt about the accuracy of the data for Bujanoc, saying he is expecting another answer to prove it.
I received the written answer yesterday: During the above-mentioned period, 174 addresses have been made unvisited in the Presevo municipality, while 26 addresses in the Bujanoc municipality. I suspect the Buyanoc municipality data is correct (I'm expecting another answer to it). In all, however, within 7 months, 200” addresses have been opened in these two Albanian majority municipalities, Lutfiu wrote.
He has added that what is happening is racism, a clean ethnic cleansing.
I call on all Albanian political acts to gather to co-ordinate and co-operate,”, he concludes.
Passing addresses in the Presevo Valley has been constantly the focus of criticism by local and international organisations. /Periscopi/
