In the first case, the East Taskforca Unit, in co-operation with Kosovo Customs, banned a vehicle with local license plates near the RMVCKS border.
During the search, smuggling goods as textiles, electronic devices, sports clothing and jewelry, without proper documentation, worth over 2 thousand euros, have been found in vehicles.
The vehicle, goods and suspected Kosovo male person were escorted to the respective customs terminal, and the case is being handled by the competent Customs Unit.
The second case occurred in the village of Lisok-Kamenica, where police units from DPS-Landing SPMKvverca banned another vehicle with local license plates trying to smuggle 1,500kg of peppers from Serbia towards Kosovo.
The goods were confiscated and handed over to Kosovo Customs, while the case was opened to the suspected person after consulting the prosecutor as a guardian.
Kosovo police stress that it remains committed to preventing and fighting all forms of crime, particularly smuggling. / Periscope/
