“We, categories derived from the KLA war, react with deep indignation and harsh condemnation to the act of desecration of the national flag by some irresponsible individuals in the town of Suhareka. The red black flag is the symbol of blood and sacrifice, the symbol that inspired an entire people for freedom, which was erected on barricades, and in the heart of any Albanian who did not bow down to invaders. This act constitutes a grave insult to the memory of our witnesses, the contempt of the values of liberation warfare, and a serious provocation of national morality, which cannot pass without responsibility. We, together, seek immediate response from the institutions of order and justice to identify and punish the perpetrators of this ugly act. We make a public appeal to avoid relating this case because it is a mirror of a deep moral crisis that needs to be dealt with seriously rather than with indifference.
