“I can't let him wait” Putin interrupts meeting to respond to Trump's call

Russian President Vladimir Putin had to rush away from a public activity to respond to the call with US President Donald Trump on Thursday. During his speech at the “Ide Forum for a New Time” in Moscow, Putin interrupted his speech and apologized to the audience, saying it was strange “” to let his American counterpart wait because “could be offended”.

Please don't get angry. I understand we can talk more, but it's so embarrassing to make (Trump) wait, he can be offended”, the Russian president said.

Talks between the two leaders, which were their sixth conversation since Trump returned to the White House and fourth in just six weeks, however, failed to produce any progress, as Moscow remained determined not to withdraw from its original goals in Ukraine.

During the telephone conversation, the two leaders discussed the conflict in Ukraine, tensions in the Middle East, the situation in Iran and US-Russia relations. /BalkanWeb/ Periscope.
