According to The Guardian, regarding the ongoing negotiations with the United States, von der Leyen said:
I just want to say we're ready for a deal. We want a negotiated solution. But you all know that we are also preparing for the possibility of not reaching a satisfying agreement. Therefore, we have held consultations on a list of balance measures, and will protect European interest when necessary. In other words, all instruments are on the table,” is expressed.
The EC president also spoke of Ukraine, where she stressed that “achieving a fair and lasting peace in Ukraine remains the top priority, because Ukrainians are fighting not only for their sovereignty, but also for us”. /Periscopi/
