Movement for the Union Chairman Valon Murati has praised the situation created in the Kosovo Assembly as extremely disturbing, calling it a serious institutional crisis with profound implications for the country.
Murati said the worst in this situation is the normalisation of the blockade, at a time when the country urgently needs functional institutions, especially in the face of new geopolitical dynamics.
We're stuck in the first step, in the constitution. Instead of finding a solution through consensus, we are heading towards a long procrastination, where each step is required interpretation by the Constitutional Court. This is putting the Court itself in a difficult position, asking him to resolve issues that are essentially political”, Murati said in RTK, broadcast Periscope.
He added that the Constitutional Court's decision requires continuation of procedures and implementation of previous parliamentary practices, such as open voting.
But according to him, there is room for other acceptable forms to be applied through consensus.
“should not be a case for the Constitutional Court at all. It would have to be a simple procedure, based on parliamentary norms and the will for solutions. All parties have responsibilities, but of course the largest falls on those that have received the most votes from the sovereign,” he stressed, calling on the opposition to contribute to overcoming the stalemate.
The situation created in the Assembly continues to remain without a concrete solution, as future sessions approach increase uncertainty about the formation of new institutions. /Periscope/
