The Ukraine Assembly has named Yulia Svrydenkon prime minister of the country, under the government's largest reshaping cabinet in this state in recent years, in order to improve wartime management.
Svyrydenko, 39-year-old, has taken office by Ukrainian President Voldymyr Zelensky, with demand for increased domestic arms production and the revival of Ukraine's economy, largely dependent on loans.
In his speech before the Parliament, Zelensky said he expects the government to increase the number of weapons produced within the territory and that within six months they are scattered on the battlefield to 50 percent of soldiers.
He has also cited expanding economic co-operation with the Allies as one of the main goals of government reforming since Russia's 2022 war began in Ukraine, reports REL, broadcast Periscope .
Svrydenko is an experienced technocrat who has served as Ukraine's first deputy prime minister since 2021. She has pledged to act “with speed and determination”.
“The war leaves no room for delays”, she said through a post on X ʹ once Twitter.
Our “priorities for the first six months are clear: sustainable supplies for the army, expansion of the internal production of weapons, and technological capacity strengthening for our defence forces”.
Svrydenko is known within American administration circles, as she has negotiated the deal on access to the United States to the rare Australian minerals.
These negotiations are considered key in reinforcement of relations between Kiev and Washington.
Addressing lawmakers Thursday, Zelensky has said there will be other agreements to be reached with the US, but has mentioned something specific.
The war in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022.
Russian President Vladimir Putin calls war “special military operation” to demilitarise Ukraine.
