An unusual attack by a bunch of bees took place in the city of Aurillac, France, leaving 3 people hospitalised and 21 others injured.
The event occurred about 10:00 in the morning, when passersby were attacked within a 30-minute period by bees originating in hives placed on the roof of a large hotel in the city.
The three hospitalised persons had suffered severe allergic reactions, including an elderly man who suffered cardiac arrest, but fortunately was saved in time and later their condition was stabilised.
According to local authorities, the presence of Asian wasps in Europe may have fostered the unusual aggression of bees.
Aurillac Mayor Pierre Mathonier, as writes in The Guardian, voiced concern about the deployment of containers in urban areas and said he is considering their future ban.
The Hives have already left and moved out of the city.
Meanwhile, local authorities have begun reviewing security measures to prevent similar incidents./Periscopi/
