He stressed Kosovo's important role in regional stability and NATO co-operation, underlining that Turkey fully supports Kosovo's integration into the European Union and the development of its institutions.
“During the visit to Kosovo I saw very strong co-operation and confidence in both the community and the command hierarchy. People feel safer,” said Oktai.
Furthermore, he informed that the KFOR Command, which Turkey took over earlier, would return again in the autumn, showing Turkey's continued commitment to ensuring peace in Kosovo.
Oktay also said economic co-operation is strengthening, with over 800 Turkish companies active and investments exceeding $3.5 billion in Kosovo and Albania. He underlined the importance of deepening partnership and expanding trade and investment among countries.
