I'll talk to Russia's President Putin at 10:00 in the morning. Thank you. ” wrote Trump on its social media platform. He didn't say what they would discuss.
On Friday, Trump and Zelensky are expected to discuss the sudden interruption of several key American arms shipments to Kiev, with Zelensky expected to increase possible arms sales in the future, the Financial Times reported earlier Thursday.
The US has banned several shipments of critical weapons to Ukraine due to low reserves, Reuters sources said earlier.
That decision prompted Ukraine to summon the incumbent US envoy to Kiev on Wednesday to underline the importance of continuing military aid from Washington and to warn that the move would weaken Ukraine's ability to protect against increased Russian air strikes and advances in the battlefield.
The Pentagon's movement led in part to a decrease in the shipments of Patriot missiles, which Ukraine relies on to destroy fast-moving ballistic missiles. /Periscope/
