Trump orders publication of Epstein files

US President Donald Trump, late Thursday, instructed the Department of Justice to provide “any information and all data” about the late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, his former friend who committed suicide in 2019, while awaiting trial over charges of trafficking of minor girls. “Based on quantity [...]
“Based in the ridiculous amount of media attention for Jeffrey Epstein, I've asked General Prosecutor Pam Bond to present any important evidence from the grand jury, given the court's approval,” wrote Trump on the Social Truth.
After the U.S. leader's announcement on social networks, Bond responded by saying that “we are ready to ask the court tomorrow to open the grand jury transcripts”.
Although it requires the court's approval of such an act, it is not clear whether Trump is authorising the publication of these documents or whether or when this will happen.
Trump's order to the Justice Department comes as the controversy over how he has handled documents from the Epstein investigation entered a new phase Thursday, as his administration is struggling to meet promises to publish details on the case of sexual trafficking.
Also, this development occurs as The Wall Street Journal claims that a letter containing provocative sexual content bore the name of Trump and was used in a 2003 document on Epstein's 50th birthday.
Trump denied that he had written the letter, calling it false, malicious, and slanderous “. ”
