US President Donald Trump's administration has restored diplomatic focus in the Balkans, sending a senior official for an official visit to three countries in the region of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Kosovo.
Brendan Hanrahan, senior official at the Bureau for European and Eurasian Affairs in the State Department, has announced through a post on the X platform that he is headed towards the Balkans after talks in Dayton and Washington.
“is an important anniversary and a crucial time for the Western Balkans. I look forward to strengthening ties between the US and the countries of the region,” has written, referring to the anniversary of the Dayton Agreement, which ended the war in Bosnia in 1995./Periscopi/
