The serious event took place in the north of the country, at one of the most popular tourist destinations, while most victims are from Hanoi capital, including children.
According to the BBC, the ship “Wonder Seas” carried 53 people aboard when faced severe weather and lost direction. So far, rescue search teams have managed to rescue 11 people, including a 10-year-old boy who showed the dramatic moment of rescue.
I took a deep breath... I dived, then swam upstairs. I even screamed for help, and then I was pulled by a boat”, the child said.
It is reported that from confirmed victims, at least eight are children. Rainfalls are making it difficult for rescue teams, but the operation will continue overnight. /Periscopi/
