Officials warn that the tragic balance of victims is expected to increase in the following hours. In Travis County, where the city of Austin is, three victims have been confirmed. Meanwhile, most of the losses were recorded in Kerr County, northwest of San Antonio, where over 850 persons were evacuated by rescue teams.
A major concern remains the fate of 27 girls who were part of a nearly a hundred - year - old Christian camp, which still resulted in losses.
