A member of an international criminal organisation, declared in search of SPAK, has been arrested in Paris, France, as part of the police operation “The Waned”. He is accused of trafficking over 1016kg of cannabis to Italy by sea route.
It's about Paul Deda, 50, who was located and arrested because of his cooperation with the French authorities. He is expected to be extradited to Albania, where the JGKKO has assigned the security measure “to prison”.
Investigations have revealed that Paul Deda has co-operated with Albanian and Italian citizens for drug trafficking cultivated in Albania towards Bar, where Italian police seized the amount of over a ton of cannabis. Two other members of this criminal organisation were arrested in Italy during the operation, broadcasting Euronews.
In addition to the charge of drug trafficking, Paul Deda is also charged with money laundering, committed within the structured criminal group.
Regarding this file, it has become known that even Iron Mark, another former interior minister's bodyguard Saimir Tahiri, has been sentenced to eight years and eight months in prison in Albania. He was part of the investigation into one of the fractions of the known folder “Cave”, “Chief” and “Kulmini”, related to drug trafficking from Albania to Italy.
Meanwhile, Paul Deda had sought asylum in France before his arrest. /Periscope/
