Ibrahim hosted Thailand's incumbent Prime Minister Phumtham Wechayachai and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet, who met for ceasefire negotiations in Malaysia, while border clashes between the two countries entered their fifth day.
Anwar said before the meeting that both sides would present their conditions for peace and stressed the importance of an immediate ceasefire, writes euronews.
Cambodia and Thailand have blamed each other for the start of the fighting, which began Thursday after five Thai soldiers were injured after a land mine explosion, records the telegraph.
The conflict has killed at least 35 people and displaced more than 260,000 people from both sides.
Otherwise, the talks come amid growing international peace calls, including US President Donald Trump, who warned Washington would ban trade agreements with the two countries if the hostilities continue. /Periscope/
