High temperatures are prohibited from rolling heavy vehicles between 11:00 and 5pm

The incumbent Deputy Infrastructure Minister Hysen Durmish has announced that the decision has been made due to high temperatures.

Dear citizens, because of the high temperatures that are ruling these days we've made a decision to stop the flow of vehicles weighing over 15 T, on the highway, national and regional roads.
The stop is between 11:00 and 5pm, beginning tomorrow on July 23rd until July 28,”, Durmish stated.

He says this decision can be changed depending on climate conditions over the next few days.

Otherwise, the Ministry of Health, based on recommendations by the National Public Health Institute of Kosovo, recommends that public and private institutions implement safeguard clauses for protecting workers from high temperatures over July 22nd, July 25, 2025.

The MSH report says that high temperatures negatively affect human health, especially the most sensitive groups of society, such as children, elderly women, pregnant women, chronically ill people, and workers working in open environments or in high - temperature working conditions.

All institutions to respect these recommendations, with the aim of protecting workers' health and other sensitive groups”, are required, says the report.
