The Supreme Court of Kosovo had decided to abolish the administrative directive for fiscal equipment issued by Iron Murati, finance minister and Kosovo Assembly MP simultaneously. Now this decision is also found in the Official Journal.

The decision was made eight days ago, while as the main reason for this decision was cited the principle of power sharing, which prohibits the simultaneous exercise of two public functions in different branches of power, broadcasts Periscope.
Murati, who was sworn in as deputy after the election, had continued his post as minister. While holding two positions, he had issued a controversial administrative instruction on fiscal equipment.
However, the Supreme Court has considered this instruction illegal and contrary to the Constitution, stressing that a person cannot simultaneously be part of legislative and executive power.
The Supreme Party's decision has sparked sharp reactions by Vetevendosje and the Kurti Government officials, who have criticised the tribunal.
They have pressed charges against the judicial system, calling it captured by former political and irresponsible structures to the country's institutional reality.
On the other hand, connoisseurs of legal affairs and representatives of civil society organisations have welcomed the Supreme Court's decision, calling it an important step in protecting the principle of division of powers and strengthening the rule of law.
