The Supreme Court in Albania has made the decision this Tuesday to leave Erion Veliaj in prison, putting the Court of Appeals for Corruption and Organised Crime in effect.
Mayor Veliaj stands in custody from February of this year, as it is being investigated for “corruption”, “money laundering” and “invisibility and inacquacy of property”.
Veliaj was arrested on the orders of the Special Prosecution, following investigations into the connoisseuring of Auguste Angonı for him.
