Special Prosecutor Wants Appeals Sentence of Former Minister Hoxha and others

Former Minister Hoxha was accused of using the MIE contract to promote the campaign in the 2019 parliamentary elections, while this contract served to inform citizens about the visa liberalisation process. Fetim Mustafa, Gezim Dashi and Ekrem Tahiri were charged with it, reports “Justice Vow”.

The Constitutional Court in Pristina on 14 October 2024 had acquitted Hoxha and the other three of the charges of misuse of official office.

At Tuesday's hearing at the Appeals, Judge Bajraktari said the Special Prosecution has filed complaints due to essential violations of criminal procedure provisions, violation of the Criminal Law, and the error and incomplete confirmation of the actual situation, proposing that the accused be convicted or the case be turned into retrial.
