The motion was intended to exclude material facts related to events prior to May 1998 and after June 20, 1999, but the court rejected this request.
As to developments at the Special Court, Euronews Albania has spoken to former fighter of KLA, Dritan Dikj, who has sharply criticised the Special Prosecutor's approach and its co-operation with EULEX.
Everybody is scared because the Special Prosecutor acts in this form: They come, they pick up the phone, they do house raids without warning or getting permission. The special prosecutor in co-operation with EULEX is the new Kosovo invaders. They do not announce either the government or the Kosovo police, decide to seize everything and charge that if they complain, they will arrest you.
He added that the manner of functioning of the Prosecution does not differ from that of the Serbian state, stressing: “It is the same thing that Serbia does, there is no difference in that. ”
