Sources close to the prosecution body suggest Veliaj is expected to be officially announced Wednesday, July 23rd, when it will be transported from Durres' detention to the SPAK facilities in Tirana.
Mayor Veliaj is in the cell since 10 February and accused of corruption, money laundering and hiding wealth. His arrest took place on 10 February in Tirana's City Hall office, while investigations were followed by wife Aila Xoxa and six other businessmen.
Defence lawyers and Veliaj themselves have been notified of the procedure by the Special Prosecutor, while on Wednesday it is expected that SPAK will make public the full accusations against him, Euronewsalbania reports, broadcast. Periscope.
