According to KFOR's announcement, two UH-60 Black Hawk military helicopters have conducted a series of air-throwing operations in affected areas aimed at controlling the flames that threatened residents' lives and local infrastructure.
“During two hours of operation, the air teams realised a total of 18 jumps, carrying over 43,500 liters of water to regions involved in the” fires, the KFOR communique said.
The association in the communique reportedly testifies to the immediate readiness and strong commitment of the NATO mission to supporting local institutions and protecting civilians in times of crisis.
Meanwhile, even the Agency for Emergency Management has confirmed the deterioration of the situation on the ground.
In the last six hours alone, according to data received by the AME Operative Centre, a total of 80 firearms have been recorded throughout the country, of which 35 remain active, while 45 have been located. /Periscope/
