The situation with Kosovo fires, firefighters appeal for caution

Among the many countries facing numerous fires is Kosovo.

The issue has been addressed by firefighters themselves who have had an appeal for all Kosovo citizens.

Ferizaj fire commander Zymri Krasniqi said at the “Ora 7” of Kosovo, that during just this month in this city, there were 200 fires, 90 per cent of them in the field and mountain.

The situation in Ferizaj is quiet, we have shelters somewhere, but we have measures to preserve people's lives and other things. Fortunately, we have managed to mobilize. Meanwhile, Pristina's former fire commander, Latif Zeka, said these fires are being caused in most cases, by citizens' negligence.

There have been field and mountain fires ahead, depending on temperatures. These fires can't be considered deliberate, but careless of citizens. Fires can now occur, for the things that are created at a high temperature also produce fire. There are fires, according to information I have from my former colleagues and colleagues, that have reached as many as 1600 interventions, fields and mountains, different detention facilities.
