No sign of Weiman Lake as government invited citizens to take vacation there

Calls to visit Lake Weyman even with invitations to carry out vacations there were added every day. The number of visitors from all over Kosovo increased. But the young man who took advantage of this missile lake is no longer alive, tragedy that has affected everyone.

For the prevention of such disasters, communications experts say there should be signs to stop jumping off bridges.

There were no signs. They should be coordinated, I didn't set signs. I'm gonna have to call you to some law so that signs can be set. As for the infrastructure, the Iber Lepentz in the dam is in the channel as well as the signs in the plant. Now I can't put signs on bridges, across the entire highway that goes through the lake... I can't decide for myself these things, normally we should have coordinates not only with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, because there's a lot here. It's the Ministry of Environment and Space Planning, it's the lake. The lake's status is not defined as water for drink, since the water from the Lake of Weiman is used for drink. It has certain restrictions, there is little operation requiring the combination of many ministries”, Mujka said.

The Uyman Lake is located in Zubin Potok, one of four northern Kosovo municipalities inhabited by Serb majority. On Tuesday, while the search-saving operation was under way, the mayor of this municipality, Izmir Zeqiri, said the terrain is difficult and that the depth is over 60m. /Periscopi/
