Serbian citizens have blocked the magistrate's road in Rashka, heading towards the Jarinje border point, causing serious obstacles in circulation and preventing vehicle entry into Kosovo territory.
The National Centre for Border Management (QKMK) in a post late Tuesday has said it has been reported by citizens for roadblocks, while themselves have observed drastic declines in vehicle movement.
“reports that we have information from some citizens that the magistrate in the Rashka, in the direction of Jarinje, is blocked by several Serbian citizens. We have noticed earlier that the flow of vehicles into the entrance of the Republic of Kosovo is very small, because we have information that only from the city of Novi Pazar can vehicles circulate,” reportedly in the KPC report.
According to them, at the moment no trucks or vehicles have been registered that have entered Kosovo through Jarinje.
Border authorities have called on travellers to avoid this direction and use alternative points until normalisation of the situation.
At 6: 00 a.m., Serbs in a few minutes blocked the road leading to Merdar.
The blockades come on the day when incumbent Prime Minister Albin Kurti took part in placing pebbles for the construction of two bridges over Iber./Periscopi/
