Federation of Esports Kosovo Chairman Altin Prenqi stressed the importance of this organisation for our country, naming the event historic.

For five days Kosovo will be host to Esports. This is a historic moment for Kosovo and a testimony to our values. 25 states” will participate in this event, Prenqi said at a media conference Tuesday.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Dauline Osmani confirmed Serbia's withdrawal and stressed that Kosovo has guaranteed equal conditions for all participants.

“From 25 countries, we have only 24 today due to Serbia's recent withdrawal from the championship. Kosovo has provided equal and secure environment for all participants. Sadly, Serbia's institutions do not allow athletes to participate. This has been the decision of Serbia's state policies”, Osmani said.

The president of the European Federation of Esports (EEF), Carol Cagan, International Federation of Esports Secretary-General (IESF), Boban Totovski, as well as Kosovo player Flatron Halimi.

The European opening ceremony will be held on Wednesday from 12: 00 p.m. at the “1 October”./Periscopi/
