Two young drivers have been sentenced by Kosovo Police after being caught developing dangerous speed races on VaroshGrlica Street in Ferizaj, seriously jeopardising public safety.
The driver B.S., 22, in a BMW-type car and Swiss license plates, was caught driving at a speed of 192 km/h in a speed zone of only 60 km/h. For this serious violation, he was fined 500 euros, denied the right to run vehicles in Kosovo for 12 months, while Switzerland's authorities have been reported, based on a bilateral agreement with the Kosovo Police, as the young man owned a license issued by Switzerland.
Meanwhile, the other driver, F.S., 20, Kosovo citizen, was banned by driving a Porsche car with foreign license plates, with speed of 185km/h in the same area. He too was punished with 500 euros in fine, pronounced 5 points, and was also stopped by the driver for 12 months.
Kosovo police announced that the speed measure has been realised through the advanced radar police vehicle, and warned increased control measures on all roads in the Ferizaj region. /Periscope/
