The purpose of the conference is reportedly to inform on the protest the Union will organise, publicising the date, clock and” the right requirements aimed at improving working conditions and respecting the law on Kosovo Radio Television”.
The union has called for urgent intervention by institutions to avoid the financial crisis that is jeopardising the functioning of the public broadcaster.
SPARTK stresses that it is necessary to accommodate the rest of the budget approved by the Parliament as soon as possible in order to ensure the continuation of the RTK mission.
The union recalls that in November 2024 it has filed complaints with the Constitutional Court due to the reduction of the budget by 2m euros, but has so far received no answers.
The communique says that if the budget is not approved by August 5th 2025, SPARTK warns the launch of legal indictments and protests from August 6th./Periscopi/
