During the afternoon hours, the National Centre for Border Management (QKMF) announced that Serbian citizens had taken the road leading to Merdare, thus blocking this axis linking Serbia and Kosovo.
In the meantime, however, this centre announced that the road had been reopened.
All citizens are nominated that the road to the Merdar border checkpoint has been reopened for circulation, following the end of the provisional blockade by citizens on Serbia's territory. The circulation is already allowed in both directions, beg all traffic participants to circulate carefully, due to security and the possibility of slight delays”, the QKMF wrote.
In the meantime, from this centre it was said that even in Rashka, Serbia, Serbian citizens had been informed that Serb citizens had blocked this axis, connecting Serbia with Kosovo through the border point in the north, Jarinje.
Shortly after this announcement, a <x0update” came from this center, where the flow of vehicles was said to have resumed.
The route leading from the Raska magistrate to PKK Jarinje has been unblocked and released for circulation”, the National Border Management Centre said.
No response to this road blockade has yet come up from the Serbian side, and why this has happened is unknown. /Periscopi/
