Kosovo has lost some sensitivity to earlier signals. We expect a drop, fall, decay or destruction to occur, and only then do we notice things”, Rexaj said.
He stressed that the trend of the decline in number of students has begun since 2018 and that the situation is deteriorating year-on-year.
Since 2012 to 2018, the number of students in higher public and private education has gone from 60 thousand to over 110 thousand. But today, again we've turned to the figure of about 60 thousand students”, Rexaj stressed.
According to him, this is a serious crisis for universities, especially regional ones that are facing serious difficulties.
“I believe regional universities are in serious problems and this trend will not improve unless immediate measures are taken,” has highlighted it./Periscopi/
