Reported for sexual harassment, dismissed because of tenders: Peja University nominated Besfort Krasniqi, Secretary General

In 26.09.2024, at the meeting held by the UPI Steering Council, following a secret vote by members, Krasniqi was acquitted.

And former UP Secretary Besfort Krasniqi had not joined the UP Steering Council meeting, though he had twice invited him to join this meeting.

According to MP Steering Council member Selim Bezeraj, Secretary Krasniqi was given a remark by the Council that year.

Before voting for release of former Secretary Krasniqi's post, the Steering Council The UPP reviewed an internal audit report of the UP.

UP's Steering Council Chief Altin Sahiti had said that the internal audit report also concerned the object of the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary. The objective of the Agriculture and Veterinary Faculty was not functional due to problems with the construction this facility has.

On the other hand, a tender of the projected 1m and 641 thousand euros for “Endowment of the new facility of the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary” was opened in 13.05.2024. This tender, the University of Pristina, was cancelled 11 days later, in 24.05.2024 respectively, with the argument that “ka lack of funds” for the project.

But this is not the only feat of Krasniqi, who now enjoys a top post at the University of Pec.

New Secretary of the University of Pec Besfort Krasniqi was denounced by a woman in the Kosovo Police for harassment and sexual assault.

In a report by the Nacional newspaper, the denounciator had declared in the Kosovo Police, that suspect Besfort Krasniqi had begun to molest him in words since the latter has assumed the position of secretary of the Philological faculty. At first, harassment began with words, and at certain times, it tried to touch it with its hands in different parts of its body.

However, Krasniqi has not stopped since, according to the indictment, on various occasions the accused has closed his office's door more key and, without her will, supported her by the wall, where she has tried to kiss her.

Krasniqi, according to the indictment, has wanted these two to have sex in her office and then continue at a hotel.

Looks like Krasniqi, these refusals have not been impressed, since he has later begun writing to the victim even on the Viber app, where at first the conversations were interoperial but later they've gone to expert conversations where Krasniqi has more often been addressed to the victim in words like Ti hungsha c************, so on.

According to her, these Krasniqi behaviour has disturbed her, and the same has subsequently sought help from faculty dean Lindita Rugova and part of the academic staff of the Philological Faculty.

Rugova, as the media report, was invited to the quality of the witness from the Kosovo Police, but the same has offered as evidence that she is sick and cannot be present.

Rugova, in the denouncing statement, is mentioned more than once.

According to her, the faculty's dean had asked the dean to release the job at the moment when the latter showed him the videos he possesses, where Krasniqi sees him touching her without her consent.

According to her, this situation has continued for years and that she has been afraid to announce the case in time, as she fears she will get it out of work, and especially in the last three months when Besfort Krasnqi has been competing for the position of UP General Secretary, which she took yesterday.

On the other hand, Besfort Krasniqi, in his statement given to investigators, has declared that the faculty's dean has not told him of the indictment complaint, because there is nothing to show since there is no complaint against him.

Krasniqi has repeatedly denied the charge, saying it was a colleague's joke and conversations they had between colleagues. /Periscopi/
