The International Criminal Court has issued arrest Tuesday for two Taliban leaders in Afghanistan, including the supreme spiritual leader, Haibatullah Akhundzada, accusing them of persecuting women and girls.
The court has said that there is solid reason to believe that Akhundzada and Abdul Hakim Haqqani, the chief of the Taliban justice, have committed crimes against humanity through persecution of girls and women on gender grounds, as well as others who have not acted in line with the policies of the Taliban for gender, gender identity and freedom of expression. / REL/ Periscopi/
