AAK Chairman Ramush Haradinaj has commemorated the Battle of Loxia.
Through a Facebook post, he also recalled the fall of this battle, which he said protected the land and its honour.
On July 6, 1998, one of the fiercest battles against enemy forces took place in Loja, Pec. It was one of the most powerful confrontations of our war, where the sons of Loxha and surrounding villages, until self - sacrifice, defended the land and the honor of this country.
Recalling today the unmovable efforts of warriors and the great will for deliverance, we honor Loxha's contribution at the most glorious time in our new history, as we respectfully humble ourselves before martyrs who perpetuated the foundations of freedom: Tahir Shala, Brucie Road, Enver Alai, Xhavit Quafe River.
Also, we remember fighters from the village of Rudica, Nimon Bajraktari, Hakki Ahmetxaj and Union Mehmetaj, who fell on their way to bringing in the weapons of freedom. The same day, fellow warrior Arsen Mazreki fell.
